Estonian wooden house manufacturers and the architecture sector were strongly represented at Korea Build Week 2025, attracting widespread attention from both visitors and the Korean media. The expertise and innovative solutions of Estonian companies generated significant interest, resulting in new contacts, cooperation opportunities, and extensive media coverage in the Korean market.
Korea Build Week is Asia’s leading construction and architecture trade fair, bringing together thousands of participants and exhibitors from around the world. The event is targeted at construction professionals, including architects, engineers, developers, and manufacturers, providing a platform to showcase innovative building solutions and foster international collaboration. The Estonian joint stand highlighted timber construction solutions, which received considerable attention, particularly from Korean builders and architects.
During the fair, the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency (EIS), in collaboration with the Estonian Embassy in Korea, organized several key events that enhanced the visibility and impact of Estonia’s wooden house sector. An Estonian architecture seminar and a discussion with representatives of Korea’s leading media houses provided a valuable opportunity to introduce Estonia’s factory-built timber construction to a wider audience. Additionally, Annika Kadaja, CEO of the Estonian Woodhouse Association, spoke at the fair’s offsite construction seminar, where Estonia’s experience and innovative solutions were prominently showcased.

Proof of Korea’s interest
A strong indication of Korea’s growing interest in Estonian wooden houses came immediately after the press conference when one of Korea’s largest modular house manufacturers expressed a desire to discuss the development of hybrid modular solutions, both in Korea and other international markets. This clearly demonstrates that Estonia’s expertise in timber construction and factory-built solutions is highly valued internationally and can open new business opportunities.
During the fair and seminars, it also became evident that while Estonia’s strengths in wooden construction are well recognized, establishing long-term cooperation requires consistency and trust-building. Successful partnerships and agreements are not formed from a single visit—maintaining an open dialogue and investing in long-term relationships is essential.
Estonian wooden house sector representatives were satisfied with their experience at Korea Build Week 2025, and even those attending for the first time felt confident that the Korean market holds significant potential. The approach to timber house construction and prefabrication also resonated strongly with architects. For example, Creatomus’ modular system solution attracted great interest from local professionals, offering exciting perspectives on the possibilities of timber house design and engineering.
Estonia’s growing presence in the Korean market offers hope for new opportunities and sector expansion. The efforts toward high-level international collaboration will undoubtedly continue.

The joint stand at Korea Build Week and the business delegation included: One Architects, Creatomus Solutions, Molumba, Estonian Log Cabins, Puidukoda, Tene Kaubandus, Arcwood, Avrame, Saviukumaja, Saunum Saunas, Vara Saeveski.
A big thank you to EIS, export adviser Soonhee Bae, and the Estonian Embassy in Korea for organizing and hosting an excellent program!
