International Log Building Conference 2027

More than a conference – alongside the talks, the week brings hands-on workshops, competition, tech talks and a cultural programme. It’s a chance to get a taste of South Estonia.

Conference presentations cover the log building industry from heritage policy and government incentives to tools, AI and hands-on craft. Experienced builders, architects and researchers share insight into technique, sustainable practice and where the industry is headed.

Pre-tours before the main programme visit historic log architecture, our factories and the landscape that shaped this building tradition. The cultural programme adds local food, sauna culture and the best of South Estonia. One evening features a charity auction and dinner with the international log building community.

The week ends with the championship, where professionals, students and axemen compete in corner joint and the groove craftsmanship, against the clock and each other.
